You don’t need a sense of humour to be unintentionally funny. Seriously believing something absurd is a form of humour for outside observers but not the observed.
- keepamovin 11mo agoTrue! Why some of the greatest comedic performances are actors who play an absurd role straight-as.
- NitpickLawyer 11mo agoOne entry would be unintentionally funny, I give you that. 5/ what, 30 entries? That's a pattern.
- latexr 11mo agoIt’s as much of a pattern as throwing a D6 30 times and getting “1” 5 times. It’s not meaningful, there’s no provable intentionality behind it. The ones that are funny aren’t even particularly so. Many of them are actually plausible HN submissions which we’re only interpreting as funny because we know they’re not real.
