- Marsymars 10mo agoI’d guess a matter of control - Apple wants full control of the products and services that it owns and maintains - buying WB/HBO comes with a bunch of baggage around IP stewardship, international contracts around IP that restrict Apple in ways they’d never do with their own content, a ton of employees outside of the Apple corporate structure, etc.
