The app I develop at work won't render if you have Javascript disabled. The entire app is rendering into the DOM using Javascript templating and data fetched from a REST API. Using the web with Javascript disabled? May the Lord have mercy on your soul.
- icebraining 14y agoBut this isn't an app, it's a blog post. And the content is already on the DOM (view source), it's just hidden for some reason.
- ben0x539 14y agoI can deal with web apps that require javascript to function, and I'll happily whitelist apps that I actually want to use. But I don't want to let every asshole with a blog or a newspaper that gets linked from reddit or hackernews execute code on my computer. I think that's a fairly reasonable position.
