Maybe this is a "strategic inflection point" for Intel... to get back into the DRAM business?
- zozbot234 10mo agoThey should get back into the Optane business first. Take the existing Optane memory to a modern PCIe 5 bus, and it will be competitive with lots of uses for DRAM. PCIe 5 gives you basically DDR4-like transfer bandwidth, and the Optane media has better latency and far better DWPD endurance than existing NAND SSD's. It's a total no-brainer.
