Kroger's Surveillance Pricing Harms Consumers and Raises Prices
- burnt-resistor 11mo agoBlack Mirror shit. Prices change subtly on e-paper signs depending upon who's nearby within the store aisle, moment-to-moment. Just imagine some poor brown mother begging a pretty white lady to buy some infant formula for her since she gets a much lower price. (Yes, the catastrophization.) But in reality, coupons are offered to people selectively to accomplish the same thing without leaving clear evidence to rage against.
