- billy99k 10mo agoin 99% of the cases I've seen (and experienced), employee equity is diluted with each new round of funding (you have no control over this). It really is a lotto ticket, with the numbers changing every few months, and the chances of winning virtually 0. I've made way more money taking the cash as a consultant to startups.
