But do you really need to keep it on 24/7? What about a wake-on-LAN solution?
- reddalo 10mo agoYou wouldn't want to consume your hard disk spin-up count every day.
- Marsymars 10mo agoDoes WoL... actually work with non-industrial server and networking gear? Any time I've looked into it, it's seemed interminably finicky.
- crtasm 10mo agoAnecdata: I use it every day to wake my windows desktop PC and to hibernate it: ssh -f desktop 'shutdown /h'
