I thought chatcontrol was dropped. What happened?

  it's a long process of negotiations, currently in this form it was approved by the council, it'll then go to the parliament the requirement to backdoor e2e was dropped, and who knows what will eventually remain of the reporting requirements, etc. of course if a company is processing unencrypted images they might be required to use some service to flag them ... will we end up in yet another false positive flood? who knows
