The site has become a hotbed of political discussion recently, and I do wish the manual unflagging was stopped, but other people are right when they say that Startup News/Hacker News has remained relevant for far longer than other sites that started around the same time. The only one I can think of that stayed relevant for that long is Ars Technica.
- travisgriggs 11mo agoBut ARS is not what it used to be. Sadly. The content is still decent, but not the forum so much. My arrival at HN nearly 8 years ago was about when I wasn’t seeing community there anymore.
