  Yup. Live elsewhere in a Schengen country and have the spouse get citizenship there. At least they'll have proper healthcare and not be treated arbitrarily like criminals.

        They didn't become anything. What happened is that the Republican party turned hard towards pandering to the minority of cruel people that were always present.
