It's similar on desktop, if you pause the video, an overlay with recommendations appears, and it prevents you from reading the subtitles, for example.
- Thorrez 10mo agoI've only experienced that on embedded videos, not on youtube.com . Are you experiencing it on youtube.com ? I tried it just now, and was able to view a video on youtube.com , pause it, and keep reading the subtitles with no recommendations popping up. Disclosure: I work at Google but not YouTube.
- codedokode 10mo agoYes, it's possible that you are right - I checked it on a random video, and there is no overlay.
