To be fair, the Apple contact said that wasn't the case. Engineering had interest, but there are specific requirements for them to accept an issue so they just can't chase something that isn't there anymore. Things might have played out differently if they got back to me while I still had the issue. However, I knew I was on a time constraint with Thanksgiving and the holiday season coming up, so really wanted some kind of resolution before that and you can't argue the board swap didn't get it functional again even if it leaves the question open of it coming back again.
