NZ's draft science curriculum favours rote learning over critical thinking
- ggm 11mo agoNot to go overboard, some rote is good. Reinforced facts can be used to develop more complex ideas. Sure, learning how to think and manage abstraction/synthesis is more important but it's not like fact recall is useless: it's how you apply it.
