Jony Ive and Sam Altman say they have an AI hardware prototype
- ggm 11mo agoI have a very strong feeling of "underwhelm" about this announcement. I can imagine a lot of things, principally some kind of TPU/GPU localised model which can do a first approximation model and be tuned, and a massive amount of data leakage into the back-end, which is SAAS and $charged$ to give you the specifics with more fidelity. ie, "alexa" or another home assistant.
- techblueberry 11mo agoI really can’t figure out what they might launch that I’d be excited about, I haven’t seen a whole lot of evidence that anyone in AI does product management all that well.
- _9za9 11mo agoIt is not hard to figure out. If you want to see nothing then you will see nothing.
- ggm 11mo agothese kinds of gnostic views don't help. Since you know what the magic insight is, why not just say so? This isn't segway/ginger pre-release, its pretty clear you think you have something we've missed. so what is it exactly?
- _9za9 11mo agoA real Weebo-style assistant like the one from the movie Flubber with Robin Williams is what I am looking for them to release.
- techblueberry 11mo agoIt’s obviously pretty hard to figure out since no one has landed anything. I was waiting for something like the iPhone for ten years before it came out. Microsoft over there wondering why no one likes copilot all over their OS. What do you foresee that’s obvious that humane.ai, Microsoft and a dozen other companies are missing oh oracle of AI product awesomeness?
