As a teacher, I try to keep an open mind, but consistently I can find out in 5 minutes of talking to a student if they understand the material. I might just go all in for the oral exams.
- gsinclair 10mo agoIt’s hard to go from (I privately think you’re cheating) to (I accuse you to your face), though.
- nicce 10mo agoOral exams don't scale well if there are +100 students and a lot of assignments. The main pain point.
- fhgh2 10mo agoDo fewer graded assignments then
- nicce 10mo agoThen learning targets only those assignments because students are the best optimizers.
- LudwigNagasena 10mo agoA teacher in an environment with +100 students and a lot of assignments that are graded by a random grad student is useless anyway and might as well not exist. If AI could move us away from this cargo cult, that's great.
