When I say "guys" or kind, I usually mean genomes and "bloodlines". I haven't slept in a long time and am going a bit crazy about details but it's always been like that ... and I always make it very very hard for me to/before I leave stuff behind, which isn't relevant but I--under the influence of insomnia (whatever that is)--found the analogy incredibly ... due. AI will try to, for the sake of it, but AI won't have to ... preserve and/or conserve ... We can get into the computational part sometime within 18 months. If I can come up with the resources, I'll have a vacation or two, and I can't say with certainty whether that gives the back of my head more or less time to do its thing.
