I'm wondering why does it cost $8..16 per month if I run it locally? What are the costs of having me as a customer justifying the subscription price?

Most stuff is for free exactly for the reasons you mentioned. raycast.com/pricing

But what is the associated cost of having "Unlimited Clipboard History" which justifies $8/m?

Assumedly it's the AI stuff that comes with it, and features are arbitrarily sectioned off.

The cost is 8/m of profit that wouldn’t show up on the balance sheet
