Why Software Development Fell to AI First
- cratermoon 11mo ago"Software development is intellectually complex but structurally simple" I wonder if the author has fully considered the implications of this statement. Maybe an AI can, with 80% or so success, mimic the act of creating a complex system. It's not successfully recreating the intellectual work needed to make a working complex system. In other words, AI is nothing more than an expensive, environmentally disastrous, and error-prone variation of the kind of automation that's already possible with deterministic tools.
