I don't think passive aggressiveness rises to the level of "shitty" behavior, and that's my entire point; people have turned anything but HR-approved, company rep-like responses into being shitty behavior.
The elimination of emotion (of which annoyance and exasperation are two kinds) from online discourse as a means to attempt to signify who is more correct is bad.
"Using lmgtfy makes you shitty" is ridiculous levels of tone policing.

I don’t think this is tone policing tbh unless we call any time someone says “stop” tone policing. In which case I’d say I guess I support some light policing.

It's cathartic. > I don’t think this is tone policing tbh unless we call any time someone says “stop” tone policing. If you're telling someone to 'stop' something that is innocuous because you just don't think it's 'productive', then it absolutely is tone policing, and it's not your place to decide what people can say.
- Forgeties79 11mo agoAt the end of the day nobody is policing you, you’re not under attack. Nobody can stop you from being a jerk for your own catharsis. Comment how you want to comment. But it doesn’t mean any of us have to support it either, so this passionate moral framing is a bit striking to me. Just like you are free to be passive aggressive to please yourself, I am free to judge it accordingly. It’s a two way street. Either way you’ve answered my question, have a good one man.
