This is just an introduction to mathematics, but it already assumes some knowledge about mathematics. In the first equation it uses the superscript 2 for squaring without explaining it. It also does not explain that 'ab' stands for a and b multiplied.
It also does not address the fact that mathematics is a form of modeling. In reality there are no numbers, there are only number of things or distances. Mathematics is also the use of a language, with specific rules, to describe and reason with those models.
