I agree learning should happen, but you don’t learn to drive a car by someone handing you the keys on day 1. Learning just about anything looks very different than handling the full responsibility of doing the thing correctly in your own. ‘How to teach someone to use a cellphone’ is a much better question than ‘is 12 years old enough to be given one.’
