Resources have been literally drained to nothing, the population is too high to reduce demand, and the government is too corrupt to do anything. Iran is absolutely fucked.
- more_corn 11mo agoPerhaps the people will rise up and “vote” their leaders out with a rebellion. A thing we should all keep in mind about democracy is that it’s the pressure release valve that allows citizens to remove their unpopular leadership without bloodshed. Lack of democracy doesn’t mean citizens won’t rise up it just means more destruction and chaos when they do.

- Modified3019 11mo agoWith that I agree. I find watching at 1.25-2x speed tends to smooth over a lot of speaking styles and ticks I’d otherwise find insufferable while helping save time.
