Very much agree that not making a choice is itself a choice. That said, the intentionality (or lack thereof) is pretty obvious. I have an impeccably-dressed coworker and I still remember that one time (years ago) he complimented my watch. I doubt I would have thought much about if someone who dresses like me had said the same thing.
