The classic one for rice is bacillus cereus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacillus_cereus#Pathogenesis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacillus_cereus#Pathogenesis, specifically the emetic form). That said, while unpleasant, it very rarely kills people.
