Create the future of the Web with Filepicker.io (YC S12)
There’s work, and then there’s your life’s work: to create the things of substance that you go to bed thinking about, to earn the respect of your peers because you built the foundations of the products they use, the frighteningly ambitious ideas. Imagine being one of the creators of HTTP.
We are building a suite of APIs that help developers build the web and mobile applications of the future by making interoperability a first-class citizen and an expectation, not an add-on.
To achieve this, we’re looking for exceptional web engineers, both front-end javascript experts and platform engineers, with an expectation of both depth of expertise and breadth of capability. As a founding employee, you will be one of the people who started it, who shaped the company, who created the movement, rather than someone who just worked there.
What you can expect from us:
- A team that will push you to produce your best possible work, and then some.
- A culture that values personal growth alongside growth of the company. You will wear many hats, work on the problems that excited you, and take on challenges you never dreamed of.
- A company that is passionate about achieving a mission, not an aquihire
- Coworkers that care deeply about your happiness and well-being. We’re in this together.
- Whatever you need to be your most productive. Help relocating to SF, unlimited equipment budget and time off to recharge
- Enough salary to take the concern of money off your mind, and equity measured in percents, not shares
What we expect from you:
- A passion for getting your hands dirty and building things.
- Exceptional programming ability. You should be the person people go to when they have challenges they can't solve. The team is polyglot, and you'll be expected to work across languages and product areas.
- Ownership mentality. You'll be taking your ideas from concept to launch, making and owning the hard decisions along the way. You wouldn't have it any other way
- A personality that strives to constantly improve and thrives on open and direct communication
- A deep-seated and unignorable desire to create the future of the web
