It is not a DRM problem, you can run many EA games on Linux with no problems, it is an anti cheat problem, which can not be solved by Valve, it has to be done by EA.
- 2OEH8eoCRo0 11mo agoCorrect but the customer doesn't care whose fault it is, they just want to play the latest games.
- arvinsim 11mo agoValve making more devices to propogate Steam is a good thing. If they achieve critical mass, EA will then be pressured to implement a compatible solution.
- constantcrying 11mo agoSure, it doesn't matter to the customer. But it matters if the problem is going to be solved. Valve can not solve it. The only way it can be solved is if game studios create anti cheat software, which are effective and can be used within a Linux environment. This will only happen if companies see a profit motive to do this, which will happen if the market is large enough.
