I’ve reversed-engineered the X Android app to find out whether it is as secure as claimed. It's not.
- roscas 11mo agoGreat exercise to learn but like all Whatsapp or TikTok apps, they are not E2EE. That is known and they don't hide it. People just need to know that.

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the new X Chat feature, not the original DMs. "People just need to know that." was one of the reasons why I wrote the article, so I can reference it when people claim how super secure it is:)
