- thedangler 11mo agoAPI, Please make an API? I could integrate my RSVP system into it which requires more specific features but could use this to create the base for the event.

- macintux 11mo agoNot the person who asked for it, but I think they were suggesting they'd use the API to retrieve information about RSVPs/current state of a planned event. (Perhaps even RSVP on someone else's behalf.)
- thedangler 11mo agoYes, I would piggyback on to the base event which would be created, which would allow me to build out my extra features which need a base event. API's are always a good thing, weather they are private or not.
- righthand 11mo agoThis is cool looking but you should note in the front page that it has ical, et al. calendar features.

- orbanlevi 11mo agoIt's similar, but not that good as Mobilizon, Im focusing on simplicity with an improved UI and experience. I'm assuming easier to spin up a new instance on your own, but this is my personal opinion.
- rapnie 11mo agoDo you have plans for adding ActivityPub support in the future? That would be very cool, and having interop with these other FOSS projects will help give things network effects.
- james-bcn 11mo agoMobilizon looks interesting but their docs results in a 404, which doesn't inspire confidence.

- dbjacobs 11mo agoAny plans to add the ability to have waiver/release forms for an event that need to be signed?

- macintux 11mo agoHow do you plan on handling the influx of garbage? I like the idea, but I’m inclined to think registration of event organizers would be necessary to control the spam.
- orbanlevi 11mo agoYea something like that would be necessary in the long run, or just use the event creation cookie user to moderate the rsvps. (or you can create private events)
- nrhrjrjrjtntbt 11mo agoHow does federated social already handle spam? just use that. I guess specific servers can ban.
- roshannarma 11mo agoThis is super cool, going to try using this for an event this week and self-host a server if it works nicely, have been looking for a privacy-first version of Partiful for a while.

- atulvi 11mo agoThere are several offensively titled events. No moderation whatsoever. This is likely 100% vibe coded in a day.
- orbanlevi 11mo agoOfc, don’t have to moderate every randomly submitted event, but I am planning to add a moderation page to delete or filter offensive events.
- rpearce9 11mo agoI quite like this, have just spun up a quick self hosted instance to play with. I'm wondering though - after creating an event, how does one see the list of who has RSVPd to attend? I can't seem to find any way to see this info.
- orbanlevi 11mo agoIn the detailed page of the event, there is the rsvp list.

- zestyping 11mo agoPlease, consider a better name. It's really hard to promote something with a name that no one can pronounce or spell.
