With the qualification that Canada has absolutely no intention of abandoning the West, merely the US. The intent of the government and people is absolutely to strengthen ties to western Europe, not weaken them.

- incomingpain 1y agoThe liberals are SAYING they'll shift over to the EU and Asia. But you know what, every PM before Carney attempted to increase trade with the EU and Asia. Of course we keep trying, but to think that this trade is just waiting to happen is false. There's no probable scenario where we abandon the USA. Therefore this elbows up strategy was greatly harmful to Canada.
