  Yes, I read that, but I wouldn't be surprised if dropping Haskell dependency was implementation goal. It was probably easier to rewrite and use Starlark than convince big groups of engineer to learn Haskell ;) In this context Meta using Rust for Buck2 makes a lot of sense.
