You can accomplish the same thing without any custom software. I have a Reolink PoE doorbell, using Frigate and Home Assistant like OP, and the Advanced Camera Card from HACS.
Ringing the doorbell sends a notification with a snapshot and a link that takes me to a tab in the dashboard with the advanced camera card. I can then use it to speak if I so desire, and I've also set up buttons on that page for the "quick reply" messages.

I've used Advanced Camera Card for a while now, and the tutorial I link for a doorbell similar to mine does that too. it's just that the resulting UI is terrible in my opinion (both due to home assistant itself being a bit cumbersome to boot, and because customizing the UI with things like card_mod is a terrible experience)
