I have seen older children cry that they dont have an iPhone or they dont have the latest iPhone, or in a different region, that they dont have Android and of course the latest Android These were older than 7 to be sure, but not sure when it starts. you can set your kid up to be independent and a FOSS influencer but I dont think that always works.
