I was on Windows and wanted an offline installer for Linux. It's impossible.
- steveklabnik 11mo agoThe Rust install page says this when I load it up on iOS: > It looks like you’re running macOS, Linux, or another Unix-like OS. To download Rustup and install Rust, run the following in your terminal, then follow the on-screen instructions. See "Other Installation Methods" if you are on Windows. “Other Installation Methods” links to https://forge.rust-lang.org/infra/other-installation-methods.html https://forge.rust-lang.org/infra/other-installation-methods... which has offline installers for every platform, including various Linuxss.
- knallfrosch 11mo agoThank you for the help. I was on a corporate network where the Windows client has script execution disabled and the Linux server had no internet. I just hate that website design. People who install Rust are clever enough to know whether they need Windows or Linux version. Just give me a download page with all links :(
