- wmf 11mo agoIt sounds like your bitrate is not that much lower though. You need to be 10x better than existing free codecs.

In my tests: Original bitrate: 9,477 kb/s My compressed: 1,238 kb/s That's 87% lower bitrate (7.6x reduction) Maybe you meant absolute bitrate isn't impressively low? Fair - 1,238 kb/s is still higher than highly-Tuned AV1 (~400-600 kb/s). But compared to what most people export (default OBS/ScreenFlow settings), this is a huge improvement for zero manual tuning.
