My fallibility doesn't make stupid actions any less stupid. I've done stupid things myself, like ssh into prod to apply a "simple, one-liner hotfix" which ended up upgrading a minor annoyance into a partial outage.
- crazygringo 1y agoI don't think there's a lot of value in labeling things as "stupid" unless they are somehow willfully or recklessly so, which is rarely the case. I really don't know what it gets you.
- overfeed 1y agoEven though you introduced the word/label to the thread, you may replace it with "unwise" or "ill-considered" if you find "stupid" too flippant.
