I think you have to ask why you'd want grocery stores to compete over SNAP customers in a way that doesn't already overlap with how they compete over non-SNAP customers.
- Tadpole9181 11mo agoBecause they're decent human beings trying to help the less fortunate. Good God, is the concept of kindness this foreign to us now?
- bitshiftfaced 11mo agoMarket distortions can be a sign of funny business. Nothing prevents grocery stores from donating and supporting charitable causes in other ways.
- pseudalopex 11mo agoDo you have a specific concern? State it.
- bitshiftfaced 11mo agoAn example is retailer fraud, where the retailer exchanges SNAP benefits for cash. Another thing that happens is when you sell benefits for cash person to person.
