I have definitely seen many 'typical modern applications' where the business logic can be summarized into 100 lines of code. The rest is just shoveling things around.
- bruce343434 1y agoInteresting, I haven't. Is it hyperbole? Or are you underestimating it? The heart of a car is the engine, but just the engine alone doesn't get you anywhere...
- fifilura 1y agoIt is not hyperbole. I'd say it is in the area of microservices and data crunching. Where 90% of the code is about ingesting and forwarding. Depends on your viewpoint. For some a car is just 4 wheels that take you somewhere. For a mechanic it is a world full of valves and pipes. But I hope not every team builds a car from scratch.
