- ZeroGravitas 1y agoWith the cost increases for this project and the drops for solar, wind and batteries I don't think there's any way this will be considered a financial success compared with spending the same amount on solar, wind and batteries. It's debatable about whether that was an easy call at the initiation of the project though. A key thing with long term storage is to compare it with long term generation plus short term storage, a hybrid of which can deliver electrons interchangeable with those stored for a long time.
