I hate startups/companies that decry an engineering shortage when they aren't willing to pay for it - we make your products, your money and your fortune either pay us more, work on more interesting problems or have a better working environment. Engineers will gladly come to you if you do so - see Google or Valve. Otherwise - shut up.
