The dark side of Zelenskyy's rule
- techblueberry 1y agoAbsolute power corrupts absolutely. I do think, even if Zelensky is arguably making the right decision to consolidate power during a war, and he really is a benevolent dictator, that there will be negative externalities if not negative direct effects of consolidating power. That being said. What do you do with an article like this. Anything you can say about Zelensky, probably applies to his opponents as well. To really understand it probably requires a few books worth of information; but almost every explanation of any interpretation of power in any of these war zones is propaganda.
- robthebrew 1y agoI agree. The fact is that until the war ends (Your attention to this please, Mr Trump), we will not know the details.
- foldr 1y agoIndeed. Mosley was imprisoned without trial during WWII, but we don’t remember Churchill as a brutal suppressor of political dissent.
- grimblee 1y agoApparently politico.eu isn't a very trustworthy website: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.politico.eu https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.politico.eu So I would err on thebside of caution and assumr this is propaganda, not facts.
