- maleldil 11mo agoGood old Gell-Mann Amnesia! It doesn't mean he's incompetent in his core area of expertise, though.
- carabiner 11mo agoI don't think gellman amnesia is really a material issue. Carmack is indubitably an expert in his field, but that doesn't mean he's an expert in every field (like aerospace or AI). I'm an expert in some things, but I've probably said some stupid shit in other fields where I dabble such as cooking, playing music, raising cats.
