Kennedy directs CDC to study alleged harms of offshore wind farms
- robthebrew 1y agoIt is quite incredible that people with such low IQ can be in charge of the US. I'm not just suggesting JFKJr.
- bell-cot 1y agoI'd assume that McKinsey, Enron, Madoff & Co. have convinced quite a few people that "high IQ" is not a virtue.
- ben_w 1y agoWhile true, "write conclusion and work backwards" (which IMO this is) is less of an IQ thing and more of a "conflict theory"* thing. * the opposite of "mistake theory": https://slatestarcodex.com/2018/01/24/conflict-vs-mistake/ https://slatestarcodex.com/2018/01/24/conflict-vs-mistake/
- superbowl 1y agoI like the mistake/conflict distinction, but in this case the conflict theorist People elected Elites (who proceeded to wage war on the People, broadly speaking). The dissonance hurts my brain.
- kermatt 1y agoThis is willful ignorance, targeting a political issue which has nothing to do with health.
- SilverElfin 1y agoI don’t want them because they’re unsightly and ruin the natural landscape, which we deserve to enjoy. But there’s also the risk to marine life, which I’ve seen some credible claims on. I’m not sure what the CDC angle could be. Mental health?
- JohnFen 1y agoThey're much less unsightly and harmful than offshore oil rigs.
