I'm of the opinion that not a single software engineer has yet lost their job to AI. Any company claiming they've replaced engineers with AI has done so in an attempt to cover up the real reasons they've gotten rid of a few engineers. "AI automating our work" sounds much better to investors than "We overhired and have to downsize".
