This is surprisingly common at big research universities! My classmate even managed to take a course on glassblowing--and have it count for her PhD!
- jonjacky 1y agoThe first session in my freshman Chemistry lab was on bending glass tubing by heating it to softness with a Bunsen burner. One of my classmates, with a burned finger, said that the takeaway lesson was "hot glass looks like cold glass".
