The validity of someone's prior statements weigh heavily on the perceived validity of their future statements, no matter who they are. Wouldn't you agree? I'm neither attacking nor criticizing this guy, simply making factual statements about where his ideas are coming from.
- bilsbie 1y agoBetter to evaluate the arguments. But if you have limited time or resources I do agree it’s a heuristic for allocating your attention. I just dont think it’s an a reason to shut down debate.
