- FireBeyond 1y agoMusk, paraphrased: "I want all the perks and benefits and everything Tesla being public has afforded me. But I don't like the downsides, and other inconveniences, so really, I should be given enough money so that I can keep all those benefits but eliminate all the risk." Also: > Tesla’s board said the package is needed keep him focused on Tesla given all his other holdings and interests. Just wow. "If he doesn't get this $1T package, he'll be distracted, and it's not good enough for him. So rather than finding someone who might be willing to run Tesla for <$1T TC, we should, uh, just give it to him." And people get upset that shareholders are challenging this in court.
