Interest and repayment of the debt happens in the future. Though the government does sell bonds to individuals and organizations, much of the financing comes from the federal reserve.
- eru 1y agoThe federal reserve only 'prints money'. It doesn't create any real resources. If one part of society sells bonds to another part of society, no real resources from the future have traveled back in time.
