- saubeidl 1y agoWin for France, because they gain international influence. Loss for the US because they lose it. Superpowers aren't super because of their inherent qualities. They're super because of their alliances.

- saubeidl 1y agoBeing a superpower is good for the country in question, so it is a loss for them. When a country is misbehaving globally, their loss of superpower status is good for the rest of the world.
