In the Nordic countries, that's just a regular jail cell. Except the fridge I guess.

- dotancohen 1y agoI spent a week in a hostel in Norway (Trumso). The room has a refrigerator, but no freezer. The food to be kept frozen was put on the shelf hanging outside the window.
- type0 1y agoDoesn't work if it's not winter. Also you should keep your food in a fabric bag that hungry magpies and seagulls can't open.

- dotancohen 1y agoThanks. We didn't actually use the shelf. I'll take the time to recommend everybody go see the Northern Lights one time in their lives. Not only are they beautiful, the brain has a hard time contemplating something so huge and far away that the eyes discern no parallax. But unlike the moon and stars, they move!
