- jqpabc123 1y agoBig factors not really being addressed here --- the cost of labor and materials to build new homes. Labor and materials make up the majority of the cost of a new home. Now that we're deporting cheap labor and placing a 30% tariff on lumber and other materials, any potential housing boom may be muted by the hefty increase in construction costs.
